get ready for the rapture!

I am avid reader and researcher in "end times" Bible prophecy. I have often read throughout the whole Bible(not just Revelation) regarding Christ's return and the rapture of the church (his people). I, like most christians look forward to this event with great anticipation and utter excitement!

I always believed that I was one of the fortunate ones to have been born during the time when we will see these events take place. In other words, I have never believed that the time would come at a time well beyond my earthly death.

None of this became more real or true to me until about two years ago. I was sleeping and dreaming peaceful dreams. Now my dreams on occassion tend to be very detailed and I usually can recall most if not all of the events in my dreams upon waking. But I up to this night had never been awoke as a result of a dream. In other words, I had never really had a nightmare or anything which disturbed my dream/sleep state.

Now this night I speak of, I was not awakened by a nightmare. I view it as more of a "revelation" which had such an impact on me, it drove my body to awaken, it wasn't scary or anything just very vivid and stirring.

My dad sadly passed away in 2003 due to "service related" disabilities. He was a vietnam and korean war veteran of 20 years. Now like I said earlier, I had this dream about two years ago. Which was 4 years after he had passed on. (I said "sadly" as I am still sad he is gone from us though I am glad he received Christ prior to). Anyway,

In my dream, I was walking down a large hallway. To the left of me as I walked I noticed a doorway and as I passed by it, I noticed someone standing in the room. I walked just a few more steps and then felt the need to stop and I had to turn around and take a closer look inside that room.

Once standing in the doorway I got a clear view of the room and more importantly the person standing in it. It was my father. He had his back to me at first but turned slightly around for a minute to glance my direction. I stepped into the room being full of surprise and asked, "dad, Why are you here? where did you come from?"

I noticed that he now had his back to me again and then I noticed a closet in front of him and a mirror he was looking into while he straightening a tie he was wearing. After my questions were presented to him, he turned his face around to my own and said to me very authoritatively "Amy, I am getting ready, We All Need To Get Ready! You remember this and tell everyone ok?"

With that, I woke up in state of shock. I was sweating and shaking. Not out of fear or anything. I was so very excited and just in awe at what happened. I knew like I know my own name that what I had experienced was very real and more importantly, I knew deep inside and throughout my entire being, what it all meant.

It was around 3am and I just could not help myself. I called my mom who was living with my sister. My sister answered the phone and with tears streaming down my face I recalled to her my dream. I told her I just could not wait until later in the day to call. I said " Hurry and get mom on the phone I just talked to and seen dad and he said, to get ready!" My sister not quite awake and a bit confused asked "what do you mean,.. get ready?" I went on to explain that God was trying to convey this urgent message through my dream: that it is time we all get ready to go home to be with Him!"

So my sister goes into a state of panic as she thought I had lost my marbles and she wakes my mom. I recant the whole story to my mom who begins to cry with me. She tells me she had once not too long before my own, a similiar dream with the same message, though she had not told anyone before about it.

I have told that story over and over ever since. Afterall, dad said to tell "everyone". lol But I too have been getting ready spiritually for whatever comes at the time of Jesus' return. I am preparing by reading God's word, praying daily, obeying his commandments and otherwise just trying to be a good christian woman.

I want to be found clean and ready to go when the time comes. And I encourage of all you who read this to do the same.

Don't let that day come and you find yourself alone in world of disbelief and hatred. I mean the way I look at it, think about all the evil on this earth as it is. Think about how unjust and cruel it is and can be. And that's with all of us christians and Gods Holy Spirit lingering over all and through us all. I cannot even imagine how bad it will be when we are gone.

True it is though, that there will be some to come to know Christ in those days as well. But terrible persecutions such as the world has never seen will come upon them. Think about it..If the world hates us christians now, what will be like for Christians then? Not an easy road to trod upon for sure.

Let me just add too that, God loves you so much. He really does. and all He asks is for us to love him in return. He can and will and is very eager to, forgive you. Just as you are. No matter where in life you are today, or what you have done.

He does not long to leave you behind or punish you. He wants for us all to choose life over death. But God will not interfere with his gift of free will which He gave us. He wants for us to "choose" Him. To make a concious decision to serve Him.

He can change your heart and give you new life and more abundantly. Not that I or anyone else can claim a problem free existance here on earth. No, God does not promise that. But what does promise is eternal life with Him which is worry and problem free.

Having faith in Him will get you through all of the rough patches life throws at us. I myself have gone through traumatic experiences and with God in my life I rise to the challenges of life and face them head on! God has supplied ALL my needs on earth. Sometimes coming from total strangers in His name. He has brought me such peace, peace that I would have never known had it not been given by and through Him.

Accept his grace, accept his mercy today and allow your "spirit man" to grow and learn and fellowship in the new life He will give you as a result.

It's so easy to do:

1. Just bow your head and close your eyes and confess with your mouth that you know you have sinned against Him.
2. You know what His son Jesus did for you so that you could be saved.
3. Ask Him to forgive you
4. Ask Him to come into your heart
5. say it all in His son's name (Jesus). and then we will say, AMEN!
